Frequently Asked Questions

How does Homestamp work?

Homestamp provides interactive checklists and tools that guide you through the rental process. Simply choose the relevant tool, work through the checklist, and generate reports for your records. All data is stored locally in your browser.

Is Homestamp really free?

Yes, completely free. No registration, no subscriptions, no hidden fees. We're committed to making rental information accessible to everyone.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Homestamp works without any registration. Your checklist data is saved in your browser automatically, so you can close and return to continue where you left off.

How current is the information?

We regularly update our content to reflect the latest UK rental laws and regulations. Each page shows when it was last updated. However, always verify critical information with official government sources.

Can I use Homestamp on my phone?

Yes! Homestamp is fully mobile-responsive. Use it on any device - perfect for property viewings, meetings with landlords, or checking requirements on the go.

How do I save or print my checklist?

Each tool has a "Generate Report" button that creates a printable summary of your checklist. You can print it directly or save as PDF using your browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P).

What if I clear my browser data?

Your checklist data is stored in your browser's local storage. If you clear your browser data, you'll lose your progress. We recommend generating and saving reports before clearing browser data.

Does Homestamp provide legal advice?

No. Homestamp provides general information and tools only. For legal advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified solicitor or contact Citizens Advice or Shelter.
